Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Linguin, operated by SupafastTech LLC ("we", "us", "our"). By downloading or using Linguin on any platform, including the mobile app, the macOS app, the Chrome extension, or the website at linguin.app, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

Linguin is an AI-powered translation product that lets you translate text across 100+ languages. It is available as a mobile app for iOS and Android, a macOS app, a Chrome browser extension, and a translator on our website at linguin.app (together, the "Service").

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Linguin. By using the Service you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.

3. Free Tier and Premium Subscription

Linguin is free to download and use. Free tier limits vary slightly by platform:

• Mobile app (iOS and Android) and macOS app: up to 500 characters per translation and 20 translations per day, plus a 3-day free trial of Premium on first launch.
• Website translator at linguin.app: a limited number of free translations per day before sign-in is required.
• Chrome extension: guests get up to 250 characters per translation; signed-in free accounts get up to 500 characters per translation.

Linguin Premium removes these limits and adds translation styles, voice output, translation history, a custom dictionary, and appearance customization across platforms.

Premium is available in two forms: a Monthly auto-renewing subscription at $4.99/month with a 3-day free trial, or a one-time Lifetime purchase at $29.95 that grants permanent access to Premium features as they exist at the time of purchase, subject to continued availability of the Service. Prices are shown in USD on our website; the App Store and Google Play may display equivalent prices in your local currency, which can vary slightly by region.

4. Billing, Cancellation and Refunds

The Monthly subscription automatically renews unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Payment is charged at confirmation of purchase. How you manage or cancel a subscription depends on where you purchased it:

• Purchased on our website (linguin.app): manage or cancel it anytime through the Stripe Customer Portal linked from your account.
• Purchased in the iOS or macOS app: manage or cancel it through Settings, your Apple ID, then Subscriptions, on your Apple device.
• Purchased in the Android app: manage or cancel it through the Google Play Store, then Subscriptions.

No refunds are provided for partial subscription periods, except as required by applicable law or by the refund policies of the App Store or Google Play. Cancelling the free trial before it ends avoids any charge. The Lifetime purchase is a one-time, non-recurring payment with nothing to cancel.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Linguin to:

• Translate or distribute content that is illegal, harmful, or violates the rights of others
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service in a way that exceeds normal usage
• Resell or sublicense access to the Service or its API
• Circumvent or disable any security or rate-limiting features
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access for any user who violates these restrictions.

6. Accuracy of Translations

Linguin uses AI and third-party translation engines to provide results. While we strive for accuracy, translations may not always be perfect, and the Service should not be relied upon for professional, medical, legal, or safety-critical translation needs.

We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose of any translation result.

7. Intellectual Property

The Linguin Service, including its design, logo, code, and content, is owned by SupafastTech LLC and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes.

You retain ownership of the text you submit for translation. By submitting text, you grant us a temporary, limited licence to process it solely for the purpose of providing the translation service.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SupafastTech LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service. Our total liability to you will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to Linguin at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by deleting it from your device and cancelling any active subscription as described in Section 4.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including disclaimers and limitations of liability) will do so.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you by updating the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
